This is what I have been up to.
Plus basketball camp.
Hubby love being off 4 days.
The 4th of July (three displays, 3 cookout parties/dinners).
Looking for a condo in Gulf Shores.

It ain't easy.

Life is good.  Summer is fabulous and we're just pluggin' along.  Marcia's other memory quilt is now finished and delivered.  This one was harder to give up than the first one!  My "boys" loved it so much.  I hope Marcia's brother and nephew (who will inherit it) enjoy it and it helps them to remember a very special man in their lives.

Here it is on the fence in all its rag quiltey softness.  Again, a John Deere shirt used to personalize it even more.

Hoping to work on some UFO's and WIP's.
Wanting to take photos of the lucious scraps I've been gifted and what I was naughty and bought!

Hope today is a great one for you with many blessings!

  1. You sound just as busy as I was this past weekend. I'm sure this quilt will be loved. It looks perfect! I can imagine myself running my hands over the soft frayed edges....

  2. Your hands must be happy to be through with all of that clipping ! It's a wonderful quilt, though. I just love my raggy and keep it on my living room chair all of the time.

Can't wait to see your purchases !

  3. AWOL is never bad!!! sounds like you have been having some busy fun. i love this quilt. it turned out beautifully

  4. Fun like that IS hard!! The quilt is a lovely momento. Very nice.

  5. Sounds like tons of great summer fun! Love that quilt - it looks so cozy. I'm sure it will be snuggled for years to come!

  6. Glad we were part of your AWOL!!!! Love the quilt, can't wait to see what you do with the scraps!!!

  7. It looks like a soft hug.
Good luck with your Gulf Shores adventure.

  8. great finishes this week. i love the dream on fabric, i am "dreaming"about having some. reminds me so much of vintage sheeting. love the blocks you are working on. hope those skeeters go away and leave you alone.

  9. ahh it looks great ... and you're right, the snipping at the end DOES make your hand tired, haha!

thanks for the nice comment on my blog.
you're right, marriage is not easy and there are certainly days when we drive each other crazy, but it's worth it :)
